Blackboard FAQs
For general Blackboard tasks, please view your 'Delivery Partner Blackboard How To Guide' which you will find in your 'Coaches and Facilitators Area' within your Blackboard 'Courses' tab.
Q. What is my username for Blackboard?
Your username is your firstname.surname, e.g. billy.bob. If your name has any hyphens in, these are included, e.g. billy.bob-robertson. Please ensure that the full stop is between your first and last names.
Q. What is the Blackboard portal URL?

Q. I am a Delivery Partner for February 2022 and have not received a log in from Blackboard?
Not all February Delivery Partners will have access to Blackboard yet, at most, Admin Leads will have received access to Blackboard and will have access to their course within the 'Courses' Tab.
Q. I am a Delivery Partner, I have my log in and I still cannot log in?
If you have received an email asking you to reset your password, please reset and log in using your 'firstname.surname' username. If you have any further issues, please email us on npq@churchofengland.org with the subject title 'Blackboard Log in needed'.
Q. I’ve not used Blackboard before, please can I have a walkthrough?

Q. I am having difficulty accessing Blackboard and Blackboard Collaborate sessions, an error code appears. Is there a solution?
We have found that a number of school IT networks block access to Blackboard. Please speak to IT teams to ensure that access is granted. We encourage you to ask your participants to do that same. We also notice that some web browser are more successful than others, Chrome seems to work best.
Q. I am having issues opening resources within a course. What should I do?
We are aware that some resources are not opening for some users and this is something we are looking into with the troubleshooting team at Blackboard and will update everyone accordingly. In the meantime, please do contact your Delivery Partner to request the resources. If you are an Admin Lead and experiencing these issues, please get in touch with your RDM and then central team and we can send the materials to you.
