Why should you choose US for your NPQ Senco

From September 2024, this new NPQ will be the statutorily required qualification for school, nursery and college SENCOs.

What’s special about learning with the Church of England Education Office and our NPQ for SENCO course?

We’re really excited about our NPQ SENCO and the opportunity this gives us to work with leaders of SEND.

Our NPQ courses are special because we value and respect every participant we work with. Our core values are central to everything we do here and we’re actively working across the education sector to develop and support school leaders to flourish- in our C of E and Catholic schools but also in schools without any faith denomination.

You don’t need to have a Christian faith to study with us and you won’t find any of the content specific just to church schools- but you’ll find a common thread of time and space to reflect on your practice and consider how we can lead in a moral and ethical manner which values everyone in our education system.

We believe that there is space in the education sector for a thoughtful and considered way of doing things- because they’re the right things to do! We empower our NPQ participants by giving you the latest evidence on what really works in education so that you’re able to lead with confidence, clarity and respect for the staff in your school and the children and families we serve.

We’re also unique in being a central NPQ team made up of teachers, school leaders and SENCOs- your NPQ with us is led by a team who know what it’s like to work and lead in a busy school in England- we’ve been there!

We will do whatever we can to support you during your course and our materials are as balanced as possible, to ensure that your workload is manageable and sessions are scheduled considerately.

Your sessions will be led by experienced SEND professionals who will have considerable experience of being a school SENCO.

It is important to us that your qualification is as useful as it can be, and that it’s relevant to your school and school community. Our NPQ for SENCO is being written by a fantastic team of school staff who are currently working in special and mainstream schools, as well as professionals who’ve been delivering and leading the NASENCO course for a number of years.

We are a neurodiverse team which also includes parents of children with complex SEN and medical needs.
